2013 Pride in Print

Three Gold Medals, Two Highly Commended and Best Label in Show - well done us!

2013 Pride in Print, the annual awards for the wider print industry, was held in Wellington on May 3. Labels are one of eight categories show-cased at these awards, other categories being Publications, Business Print, Display Print, Promotional Print, Packaging, Specialty Products, Industry Development - Export, Industry Development - Innovation.

Rapid Labels' Gold Medals were won for:

Beachwood 2010 Shiraz (printed by PC)

Ara Select Blocks Pinot Gris 2012 (printed by Steve M)

and Horleys Replace Lemon Lime 580g (printed by PC).

We were Highly Commended for:

Waiwera Limoretto Citrus Vodka (printed by Tim) and Upside Down 2011 Merlot (printed by Martin and Ryan).

The Horleys Replace Label went on to win the Label Category Award, it was the top label of all twelve gold medals in the category. The image on this label is of a swimmer using silver and black ink on a white PP stock. Kimberley, one of our talented Prepress Studio team members, spent considerable time refining the image to produce just the right effect. We're very pleased to have our Prepress and Production teams efforts recognised once again, and also for a non-wine label to be recognised as the best quality printed label of 2013.

All of our awards are on display in our Piha meeting room at our site in Albany.
