2012 Pride in Print

Four Golds, 1 Highly Commended, Label of the Year and Apprentice of the Year - we scooped the pools at Pride in Print 2012!

Pride in Print is the annual printing industry awards event and 800 people attended the dinner at The Langham Hotel in Auckland in June this year.

Rapid's gold medal labels were won for Ngatarawa Stables Reserve Merlot 2010 (printed by Gareth), Kirkpatrick Estate Kirky Signature Reserve Malbec (printed by Matt) and The Colour Pinot Noir (printed by most of the production team!).

The Colour was a short run self promotional wine label designed by Grant Blazey of Periscope Design for Rapid Labels and it also won a gold in the Industry Development Category. And then the Label of the Year Award. 

Domaine Steyn Pinot Gris 2010 for Nelson Bays Print was awarded a Highly Commended.

We took a large group of staff to this years event and were suitably chuffed with our best ever result. But the night was not yet done with us.

Gareth Hilton was awarded the Apprentice of the Year title from a pool of over 100 print apprentices. A more deserving winner we could not name. See more about Gareth's achievement here.
