MCC Albany
On behalf of our Production Staff, and our clients Isola Estates, Vavasour (Clifford Bay) and Partisan - we're pleased to have been awarded three Gold Medals at the 2009 Pride in Print Awards.
The annual print industry awards ceremony and gala dinner, this year held at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington, celebrates technical excellence in print.
Isola Estates, a boutique Waiheke Producer, won Gold with a brand new label design. The Isola label is printed on our Hinuera laid stock with an intense laydown of black plus gloss highbuild varnish. This is good timing for Isola as they prepare to promote their brand new tuscan-style Langham Hotel being built at Isola Estates on Waiheke Island.
Clifford Bay won Gold for their 5-colour leather-look label which features an all-over emboss and clever use of foil. Getting gold with this label is pleasing because the new design by Core (Shane Eriwata) is technically demanding and gold means we got it bang on.
It was great to hear (late June) that Clifford Bay Sav was won three trophies at the 26th IWC (International Wine Challenge) - including the International Sauvignon Blanc Trophy.
Partisan Wines won gold with their spectacular Queen of Spades Pinot Noir label. Partisan is owned by Tim Morrison-Deaker and his brother Simon was the designer. The label has an array of techniques - including 2 varnishes, 6 colours and an emboss.
These awards are a good result for Rapid Labels and we are particularly pleased for Isola Estates, Clifford Bay and Partisan who entrust us with their label business.
