MCC Albany
On behalf of our Production Staff, our clients Maven, BiC and Stonyridge, we're pleased to have been awarded two Gold Medals and one Highly Commended at the 2008 Pride in Print Awards.
The annual print industry awards ceremony and gala dinner, this year held at Sky City Auckland, was attended by 900 people.
Once again one of the stunning Maven labels won Gold, this year the red church image. Maven wines feature multiple front label images for the same variety wine. The eight photographs were all taken in and around Seddon, close to the Awatere Valley where Maven wines originate from. The depth of colour achieved in the manufacture of the label is likely to be one reason the label was selected for Gold.
In the Labels Other category - it was the vibrant BiC 50ml kids gum winning Gold. French company BiC are staunch Made in New Zealand supporters, and it was particularly pleasing to see this humble label receive accolades for precision printing.
Fallen Angel wines are a second brand for notable Waiheke Island winery Stonyridge, famous for its Larose Bordeaux-style red wine (which we also print). The Fallen Angel labels feature contemporary art by Auckland-based Nikki Sorich which makes the manufacture of the labels technically challenging. The 2006 Mourevedre label for Fallen Angel received a Highly Commended award.
These awards were a good result for Rapid Labels and we are particularly pleased for Maven, BiC and Stonyridge who entrust us with their label business.
